2026: Kelly Maxwell
“SMPS has been a huge part of my life since I joined the AEC marketing industry 10 years ago. Lyndsay led the first committee I was part of, so receiving a grant in her name is an honor. Her natural graphic talent, servant leadership style, and consistent commitment to the chapter were incredibly inspiring, and her creative touches still show up in so many aspects of SMPS Austin today. This chapter is where I learned how to lead, found my people, and built relationships that have shaped both my career and my life in ways I couldn’t have expected as a young marketer. To be recognized alongside Lyndsay’s legacy, which means so much to me personally, is truly an honor. I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to attend Amplify AEC this year to learn from the speakers, connect with the broader SMPS network, and bring that perspective back to my day-to-day work. As this year’s SMPS Southern Regional Conference Chair, I’m also looking forward to experiencing the conference itself and seeing what we can bring back to the region.”
2025: Beth Sims, CPSM
“I am very honored to receive Lyndsay’s grant, and I am so grateful to SMPS and Meeks Marketing for creating this grant in her honor. I have SMPS Austin to thank for bringing Lyndsay and I together. It was a joy to serve the chapter alongside her as committee volunteers and eventually as board members. I learned so much from her. We grew together in our careers, our leadership skills as chapter presidents and of course as dear friends. We earned our CPSM certifications together and worked with a team of other members to develop the Black + White Bash. We attended multiple regional and national SMPS conferences together and explored the cities of New Orleans, Philadelphia, Indianapolis and San Diego, as a result. They are some of my favorite SMPS memories. In addition to the incredible professional and educational value that Amplify A/E/C and SMPS offer, I hope my receipt of this grant helps illustrate the deep relationship development opportunities that also come with these gatherings. You’ll blink and realize SMPS is where you’ve become connected to some of your very best friends.”
2024: Marisa Martinelli
“Winning the LMW grant is an honor as SMPS has played an integral role in my successes both personally and professionally. Being a part of SMPS has allowed me to create lifelong friendships and expand my knowledge of the ever-changing AEC industry. By attending Amplify, I hope to honor Lyndsay’s legacy of giving back to the SMPS Austin Chapter just as she did, and contribute to the professional development and success of SMPS members.”

"Having been in the A/E/C industry for a short three years and being completely new to the area, working on this committee with these amazing people, gleaning advice and perspective, and meeting all kinds of folks in different firms, has planted my feet solidly in the Texas A/E/C community."
2023: Glenn Hart
"I remember attending my first luncheon at the UT Club and being approached by Lyndsay who welcomed and introduced me to others networking nearby before the program. Relationships with Lyndsay and so many others have not only enriched my professional life but also provided a supportive community that understands the unique challenges and opportunities within our industry over the last 8 years."
